How To Uninstall mono-apache-server2 On Debian 8

To uninstall mono-apache-server2 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mono-apache-server2

ASP.NET 2.0 backend for mod_mono2 Apache moduleDebian 8.0httpd3.8-2.1
sudo apt-get remove mono-apache-server2

This will remove just the mono-apache-server2 package itself.

Uninstall mono-apache-server2 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mono-apache-server2

This will remove the mono-apache-server2 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mono-apache-server2 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mono-apache-server2

Or similarly, like this mono-apache-server2

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mono-apache-server2
