How To Uninstall mono-dmcs On Debian 8

To uninstall mono-dmcs just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mono-dmcs

Mono C# 4.0 compiler for CLI 4.0 (transitional package)Debian 8.0cli-mono3.2.8+dfsg-10
sudo apt-get remove mono-dmcs

This will remove just the mono-dmcs package itself.

Uninstall mono-dmcs and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mono-dmcs

This will remove the mono-dmcs package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mono-dmcs then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mono-dmcs

Or similarly, like this mono-dmcs

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mono-dmcs
