How To Uninstall monodoc-base On Debian 8

To uninstall monodoc-base just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just monodoc-base

shared MonoDoc binariesDebian 8.0cli-mono3.2.8+dfsg-10
sudo apt-get remove monodoc-base

This will remove just the monodoc-base package itself.

Uninstall monodoc-base and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove monodoc-base

This will remove the monodoc-base package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for monodoc-base then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge monodoc-base

Or similarly, like this monodoc-base

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove monodoc-base
