How To Uninstall montecarlo-base On Debian 8

To uninstall montecarlo-base just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just montecarlo-base

[Physics] Common files for CERNLIB Monte Carlo librariesDebian 8.0science20061220+dfsg3-3
sudo apt-get remove montecarlo-base

This will remove just the montecarlo-base package itself.

Uninstall montecarlo-base and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove montecarlo-base

This will remove the montecarlo-base package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for montecarlo-base then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge montecarlo-base

Or similarly, like this montecarlo-base

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove montecarlo-base
