How To Uninstall montecarlo-data On Debian 8

To uninstall montecarlo-data just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just montecarlo-data

[Physics] data for CERNLIB Monte Carlo librariesDebian 8.0science20061220+dfsg3-3
sudo apt-get remove montecarlo-data

This will remove just the montecarlo-data package itself.

Uninstall montecarlo-data and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove montecarlo-data

This will remove the montecarlo-data package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for montecarlo-data then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge montecarlo-data

Or similarly, like this montecarlo-data

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove montecarlo-data
