How To Uninstall mp3rename On Debian 8

To uninstall mp3rename just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mp3rename

Rename mp3 files based on id3tagsDebian 8.0sound0.6-9
sudo apt-get remove mp3rename

This will remove just the mp3rename package itself.

Uninstall mp3rename and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mp3rename

This will remove the mp3rename package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mp3rename then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mp3rename

Or similarly, like this mp3rename

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mp3rename
