How To Uninstall mp4v2-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall mp4v2-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mp4v2-dbg

library to read, create, and modify mp4 files (debug)Debian 8.0debug2.0.0~dfsg0-3
sudo apt-get remove mp4v2-dbg

This will remove just the mp4v2-dbg package itself.

Uninstall mp4v2-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mp4v2-dbg

This will remove the mp4v2-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mp4v2-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mp4v2-dbg

Or similarly, like this mp4v2-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mp4v2-dbg
