How To Uninstall mpd-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall mpd-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mpd-dbg

Music Player Daemon debugging symbolsDebian 8.0debug0.19.1-1.1
sudo apt-get remove mpd-dbg

This will remove just the mpd-dbg package itself.

Uninstall mpd-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mpd-dbg

This will remove the mpd-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mpd-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mpd-dbg

Or similarly, like this mpd-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mpd-dbg
