How To Uninstall mpdris2 On Debian 8

To uninstall mpdris2 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mpdris2

media player interface (MPRIS2) bridge for MPDDebian 8.0sound0.5-1
sudo apt-get remove mpdris2

This will remove just the mpdris2 package itself.

Uninstall mpdris2 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mpdris2

This will remove the mpdris2 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mpdris2 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mpdris2

Or similarly, like this mpdris2

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mpdris2
