How To Uninstall mpop-gnome On Debian 8

To uninstall mpop-gnome just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mpop-gnome

POP3 mail retriever - with GNOME keyring supportDebian 8.0gnome1.0.29-2
sudo apt-get remove mpop-gnome

This will remove just the mpop-gnome package itself.

Uninstall mpop-gnome and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mpop-gnome

This will remove the mpop-gnome package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mpop-gnome then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mpop-gnome

Or similarly, like this mpop-gnome

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mpop-gnome
