How To Uninstall mpris-remote On Debian 8

To uninstall mpris-remote just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mpris-remote

command-line interface for mpris compatible media playersDebian 8.0utils0.0~1.gpb7c7f5c6-1
sudo apt-get remove mpris-remote

This will remove just the mpris-remote package itself.

Uninstall mpris-remote and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mpris-remote

This will remove the mpris-remote package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mpris-remote then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mpris-remote

Or similarly, like this mpris-remote

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mpris-remote
