How To Uninstall mpt-status On Debian 8

To uninstall mpt-status just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mpt-status

get RAID status out of mpt (and other) HW RAID controllersDebian 8.0admin1.2.0-8
sudo apt-get remove mpt-status

This will remove just the mpt-status package itself.

Uninstall mpt-status and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mpt-status

This will remove the mpt-status package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mpt-status then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mpt-status

Or similarly, like this mpt-status

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mpt-status
