How To Uninstall mrtg-contrib On Debian 8

To uninstall mrtg-contrib just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mrtg-contrib

multi router traffic grapher (contributed files)Debian 8.0net2.17.4-2
sudo apt-get remove mrtg-contrib

This will remove just the mrtg-contrib package itself.

Uninstall mrtg-contrib and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mrtg-contrib

This will remove the mrtg-contrib package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mrtg-contrib then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mrtg-contrib

Or similarly, like this mrtg-contrib

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mrtg-contrib
