How To Uninstall mrtrix On Debian 8

To uninstall mrtrix just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mrtrix

diffusion-weighted MRI white matter tractographyDebian 8.0science0.2.12-1
sudo apt-get remove mrtrix

This will remove just the mrtrix package itself.

Uninstall mrtrix and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mrtrix

This will remove the mrtrix package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mrtrix then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mrtrix

Or similarly, like this mrtrix

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mrtrix
