How To Uninstall mspdebug On Debian 8

To uninstall mspdebug just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mspdebug

debugging tool for MSP430 microcontrollersDebian 8.0electronics0.22-2
sudo apt-get remove mspdebug

This will remove just the mspdebug package itself.

Uninstall mspdebug and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mspdebug

This will remove the mspdebug package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mspdebug then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mspdebug

Or similarly, like this mspdebug

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mspdebug
