How To Uninstall mt-st On Debian 8

To uninstall mt-st just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mt-st

Linux SCSI tape driver aware magnetic tape control (aka mt)Debian 8.0admin1.1-6
sudo apt-get remove mt-st

This will remove just the mt-st package itself.

Uninstall mt-st and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mt-st

This will remove the mt-st package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mt-st then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mt-st

Or similarly, like this mt-st

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mt-st
