How To Uninstall mtkbabel On Debian 8

To uninstall mtkbabel just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mtkbabel

Tool for managing i-Blue 747 and compatible GPS data loggersDebian 8.0misc0.8.3.1-1.1
sudo apt-get remove mtkbabel

This will remove just the mtkbabel package itself.

Uninstall mtkbabel and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mtkbabel

This will remove the mtkbabel package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mtkbabel then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mtkbabel

Or similarly, like this mtkbabel

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mtkbabel
