How To Uninstall multicat On Debian 8

To uninstall multicat just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just multicat

Set of tools for multicast and transport stream manipulationDebian 8.0video2.0-3
sudo apt-get remove multicat

This will remove just the multicat package itself.

Uninstall multicat and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove multicat

This will remove the multicat package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for multicat then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge multicat

Or similarly, like this multicat

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove multicat
