How To Uninstall multimedia-firewire On Debian 8

To uninstall multimedia-firewire just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just multimedia-firewire

Packages for your firewire audiocard / interfaceDebian 8.0misc0.2
sudo apt-get remove multimedia-firewire

This will remove just the multimedia-firewire package itself.

Uninstall multimedia-firewire and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove multimedia-firewire

This will remove the multimedia-firewire package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for multimedia-firewire then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge multimedia-firewire

Or similarly, like this multimedia-firewire

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove multimedia-firewire
