How To Uninstall multipath-tools On Debian 8

To uninstall multipath-tools just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just multipath-tools

maintain multipath block device accessDebian 8.0admin0.5.0-6+deb8u2
sudo apt-get remove multipath-tools

This will remove just the multipath-tools package itself.

Uninstall multipath-tools and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove multipath-tools

This will remove the multipath-tools package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for multipath-tools then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge multipath-tools

Or similarly, like this multipath-tools

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove multipath-tools
