How To Uninstall munge On Debian 8

To uninstall munge just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just munge

authentication service to create and validate credentialsDebian 8.0admin0.5.11-1.1+b1
sudo apt-get remove munge

This will remove just the munge package itself.

Uninstall munge and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove munge

This will remove the munge package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for munge then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge munge

Or similarly, like this munge

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove munge
