How To Uninstall mupen64plus On Debian 8

To uninstall mupen64plus just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mupen64plus

plugin-based Nintendo 64 emulator (transitional dummy package)Debian 8.0metapackages2.0+1
sudo apt-get remove mupen64plus

This will remove just the mupen64plus package itself.

Uninstall mupen64plus and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mupen64plus

This will remove the mupen64plus package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mupen64plus then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mupen64plus

Or similarly, like this mupen64plus

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mupen64plus
