How To Uninstall mutt-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall mutt-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mutt-dbg

debugging symbols for muttDebian 8.0debug1.5.23-3
sudo apt-get remove mutt-dbg

This will remove just the mutt-dbg package itself.

Uninstall mutt-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mutt-dbg

This will remove the mutt-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mutt-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mutt-dbg

Or similarly, like this mutt-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mutt-dbg
