How To Uninstall mutter-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall mutter-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mutter-dbg

Debugging symbols for the Mutter window managerDebian 8.0debug3.14.4-1~deb8u1
sudo apt-get remove mutter-dbg

This will remove just the mutter-dbg package itself.

Uninstall mutter-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mutter-dbg

This will remove the mutter-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mutter-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mutter-dbg

Or similarly, like this mutter-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mutter-dbg
