How To Uninstall mysql-utilities On Debian 8

To uninstall mysql-utilities just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mysql-utilities

collection of scripts for managing MySQL serversDebian 8.0database1.3.5-2
sudo apt-get remove mysql-utilities

This will remove just the mysql-utilities package itself.

Uninstall mysql-utilities and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mysql-utilities

This will remove the mysql-utilities package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mysql-utilities then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mysql-utilities

Or similarly, like this mysql-utilities

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mysql-utilities
