How To Uninstall nagios-nrpe-server On Debian 8

To uninstall nagios-nrpe-server just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just nagios-nrpe-server

linuxNagios Remote Plugin Executor Servernet2.15-1
sudo apt-get remove nagios-nrpe-server

This will remove just the nagios-nrpe-server package itself.

Uninstall nagios-nrpe-server and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove nagios-nrpe-server

This will remove the nagios-nrpe-server package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for nagios-nrpe-server then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge nagios-nrpe-server

Or similarly, like this nagios-nrpe-server

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove nagios-nrpe-server
