How To Uninstall nagios-plugins-standard On Debian 8

To uninstall nagios-plugins-standard just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just nagios-plugins-standard

linuxtransitional dummy packagenet2.1.1-1
sudo apt-get remove nagios-plugins-standard

This will remove just the nagios-plugins-standard package itself.

Uninstall nagios-plugins-standard and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove nagios-plugins-standard

This will remove the nagios-plugins-standard package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for nagios-plugins-standard then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge nagios-plugins-standard

Or similarly, like this nagios-plugins-standard

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove nagios-plugins-standard
