How To Uninstall nagios-snmp-plugins On Debian 8

To uninstall nagios-snmp-plugins just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just nagios-snmp-plugins

linuxSNMP Plugins for nagiosnet1.1.1-11
sudo apt-get remove nagios-snmp-plugins

This will remove just the nagios-snmp-plugins package itself.

Uninstall nagios-snmp-plugins and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove nagios-snmp-plugins

This will remove the nagios-snmp-plugins package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for nagios-snmp-plugins then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge nagios-snmp-plugins

Or similarly, like this nagios-snmp-plugins

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove nagios-snmp-plugins
