How To Uninstall nasm On Debian 8

To uninstall nasm just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just nasm

linuxGeneral-purpose x86 assemblerdevel2.11.05-1
sudo apt-get remove nasm

This will remove just the nasm package itself.

Uninstall nasm and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove nasm

This will remove the nasm package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for nasm then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge nasm

Or similarly, like this nasm

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove nasm
