How To Uninstall nbd-server On Debian 8

To uninstall nbd-server just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just nbd-server

Network Block Device protocol - serverDebian 8.0admin1:3.8-4+deb8u3
sudo apt-get remove nbd-server

This will remove just the nbd-server package itself.

Uninstall nbd-server and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove nbd-server

This will remove the nbd-server package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for nbd-server then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge nbd-server

Or similarly, like this nbd-server

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove nbd-server
