How To Uninstall nbtscan On Debian 8

To uninstall nbtscan just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just nbtscan

linuxA program for scanning networks for NetBIOS name informationnet1.5.1-6
sudo apt-get remove nbtscan

This will remove just the nbtscan package itself.

Uninstall nbtscan and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove nbtscan

This will remove the nbtscan package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for nbtscan then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge nbtscan

Or similarly, like this nbtscan

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove nbtscan
