How To Uninstall nedit-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall nedit-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just nedit-dbg

debugging symbols for neditDebian 8.0debug1:5.6~cvs20081118-9
sudo apt-get remove nedit-dbg

This will remove just the nedit-dbg package itself.

Uninstall nedit-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove nedit-dbg

This will remove the nedit-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for nedit-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge nedit-dbg

Or similarly, like this nedit-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove nedit-dbg
