How To Uninstall netcat-openbsd On Debian 8

To uninstall netcat-openbsd just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just netcat-openbsd

linuxTCP/IP swiss army knifenet1.105-7
sudo apt-get remove netcat-openbsd

This will remove just the netcat-openbsd package itself.

Uninstall netcat-openbsd and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove netcat-openbsd

This will remove the netcat-openbsd package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for netcat-openbsd then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge netcat-openbsd

Or similarly, like this netcat-openbsd

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove netcat-openbsd
