How To Uninstall netcat6 On Debian 8

To uninstall netcat6 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just netcat6

linuxTCP/IP swiss army knife with IPv6 supportnet1.0-8
sudo apt-get remove netcat6

This will remove just the netcat6 package itself.

Uninstall netcat6 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove netcat6

This will remove the netcat6 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for netcat6 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge netcat6

Or similarly, like this netcat6

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove netcat6
