How To Uninstall netcdf-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall netcdf-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just netcdf-dbg

linuxdebugging symbols for NetCDFdebug1:4.1.3-7.2
sudo apt-get remove netcdf-dbg

This will remove just the netcdf-dbg package itself.

Uninstall netcdf-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove netcdf-dbg

This will remove the netcdf-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for netcdf-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge netcdf-dbg

Or similarly, like this netcdf-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove netcdf-dbg
