How To Uninstall netdiscover-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall netdiscover-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just netdiscover-dbg

linuxactive/passive network address scanner using arp requests (debug)debug0.3beta6+20080409-5.1
sudo apt-get remove netdiscover-dbg

This will remove just the netdiscover-dbg package itself.

Uninstall netdiscover-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove netdiscover-dbg

This will remove the netdiscover-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for netdiscover-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge netdiscover-dbg

Or similarly, like this netdiscover-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove netdiscover-dbg
