How To Uninstall netdiscover On Debian 8

To uninstall netdiscover just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just netdiscover

linuxactive/passive network address scanner using arp requestsnet0.3beta6+20080409-5.1
sudo apt-get remove netdiscover

This will remove just the netdiscover package itself.

Uninstall netdiscover and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove netdiscover

This will remove the netdiscover package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for netdiscover then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge netdiscover

Or similarly, like this netdiscover

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove netdiscover
