How To Uninstall netmask On Debian 8

To uninstall netmask just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just netmask

linuxhelps determine network masksnet2.3.12
sudo apt-get remove netmask

This will remove just the netmask package itself.

Uninstall netmask and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove netmask

This will remove the netmask package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for netmask then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge netmask

Or similarly, like this netmask

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove netmask
