How To Uninstall netselect-apt On Debian 8

To uninstall netselect-apt just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just netselect-apt

linuxspeed tester for choosing a fast Debian mirrornet0.3.ds1-26
sudo apt-get remove netselect-apt

This will remove just the netselect-apt package itself.

Uninstall netselect-apt and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove netselect-apt

This will remove the netselect-apt package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for netselect-apt then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge netselect-apt

Or similarly, like this netselect-apt

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove netselect-apt
