How To Uninstall netsniff-ng On Debian 8

To uninstall netsniff-ng just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just netsniff-ng

linuxLinux network packet sniffer toolkitnet0.5.8-2
sudo apt-get remove netsniff-ng

This will remove just the netsniff-ng package itself.

Uninstall netsniff-ng and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove netsniff-ng

This will remove the netsniff-ng package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for netsniff-ng then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge netsniff-ng

Or similarly, like this netsniff-ng

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove netsniff-ng
