How To Uninstall nfacct On Debian 8

To uninstall nfacct just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just nfacct

linuxnetfilter accounting object toolnet1.0.1-1.1
sudo apt-get remove nfacct

This will remove just the nfacct package itself.

Uninstall nfacct and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove nfacct

This will remove the nfacct package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for nfacct then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge nfacct

Or similarly, like this nfacct

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove nfacct
