How To Uninstall nfs-kernel-server On Debian 8

To uninstall nfs-kernel-server just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just nfs-kernel-server

linuxsupport for NFS kernel servernet1:1.2.8-9
sudo apt-get remove nfs-kernel-server

This will remove just the nfs-kernel-server package itself.

Uninstall nfs-kernel-server and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove nfs-kernel-server

This will remove the nfs-kernel-server package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for nfs-kernel-server then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge nfs-kernel-server

Or similarly, like this nfs-kernel-server

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove nfs-kernel-server
