How To Uninstall ngrep On Debian 8

To uninstall ngrep just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ngrep

linuxgrep for network trafficnet1.45.ds2-13
sudo apt-get remove ngrep

This will remove just the ngrep package itself.

Uninstall ngrep and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ngrep

This will remove the ngrep package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ngrep then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ngrep

Or similarly, like this ngrep

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ngrep
