How To Uninstall nmzmail On Debian 8

To uninstall nmzmail just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just nmzmail

linuxindexes and searches email in maildir foldersmail1.1-2
sudo apt-get remove nmzmail

This will remove just the nmzmail package itself.

Uninstall nmzmail and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove nmzmail

This will remove the nmzmail package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for nmzmail then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge nmzmail

Or similarly, like this nmzmail

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove nmzmail
