How To Uninstall node-abbrev On Debian 8

To uninstall node-abbrev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just node-abbrev

linuxGet unique abbreviations for a set of strings - Node.js moduleweb1.0.5-2
sudo apt-get remove node-abbrev

This will remove just the node-abbrev package itself.

Uninstall node-abbrev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove node-abbrev

This will remove the node-abbrev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for node-abbrev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge node-abbrev

Or similarly, like this node-abbrev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove node-abbrev
