How To Uninstall perlmagick On Debian 8

To uninstall perlmagick just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just perlmagick

Perl interface to ImageMagick -- transition packageDebian 8.0perl8:6.8.9.9-5+deb8u8
sudo apt-get remove perlmagick

This will remove just the perlmagick package itself.

Uninstall perlmagick and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove perlmagick

This will remove the perlmagick package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for perlmagick then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge perlmagick

Or similarly, like this perlmagick

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove perlmagick
