How To Uninstall php-geshi On Debian 8

To uninstall php-geshi just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just php-geshi

Generic Syntax HighlighterDebian 8.0php1.0.8.11-2
sudo apt-get remove php-geshi

This will remove just the php-geshi package itself.

Uninstall php-geshi and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove php-geshi

This will remove the php-geshi package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for php-geshi then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge php-geshi

Or similarly, like this php-geshi

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove php-geshi
