How To Uninstall postgresql-9.4-ip4r On Debian 8

To uninstall postgresql-9.4-ip4r just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just postgresql-9.4-ip4r

IPv4 and IPv6 types for PostgreSQL 9.4Debian 8.0misc2.0.2-3
sudo apt-get remove postgresql-9.4-ip4r

This will remove just the postgresql-9.4-ip4r package itself.

Uninstall postgresql-9.4-ip4r and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove postgresql-9.4-ip4r

This will remove the postgresql-9.4-ip4r package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for postgresql-9.4-ip4r then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge postgresql-9.4-ip4r

Or similarly, like this postgresql-9.4-ip4r

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove postgresql-9.4-ip4r
