How To Uninstall printer-driver-hpcups On Debian 8

To uninstall printer-driver-hpcups just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just printer-driver-hpcups

HP Linux Printing and Imaging - CUPS Raster driver (hpcups)Debian 8.0text3.14.6-1+deb8u1
sudo apt-get remove printer-driver-hpcups

This will remove just the printer-driver-hpcups package itself.

Uninstall printer-driver-hpcups and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove printer-driver-hpcups

This will remove the printer-driver-hpcups package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for printer-driver-hpcups then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge printer-driver-hpcups

Or similarly, like this printer-driver-hpcups

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove printer-driver-hpcups
