How To Uninstall python-babelfish On Debian 8

To uninstall python-babelfish just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just python-babelfish

library to work with countries and languages (Python 2)Debian 8.0python0.5.3-1
sudo apt-get remove python-babelfish

This will remove just the python-babelfish package itself.

Uninstall python-babelfish and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove python-babelfish

This will remove the python-babelfish package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for python-babelfish then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge python-babelfish

Or similarly, like this python-babelfish

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove python-babelfish
